Crystal Reports not in VB .NET 2003 Standard

I bought VB.NET 2003 Standard, in the box it says Crystal Reports is
included but I can/'t see it when I try to create a new Crystal Report
in Add>Add New Item or in the Toolbox>Add/Remove Items.

If re-install VB it's not in the installation options either.

IIRC CR is not included in the Standard Edition.

We have purchased and installed Visual Basic.net Standard version 2003. While there are several Visual Studio CDs that were also installed, there does not appear to be support for Crystal Reports. In C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 2003\ There is no Crystal Reports File. In the Project Add Items there is no Crystal Reports icon.

I'm running VB .Net 2003 Standard (V 7.1.3088) There is no reference to Crystal Reports in the Templates box when I attempt to add a new item. I believe I performed a full install. When I try to fix the install, there is no mention made of Crystal Reports. Did my installation go bad or am I missing something else?

Hi! We currently use SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition and Visual Studio.NET 2003. Now, we are comparing the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.NET 2003 with the SQL Server Reporting Services so that we will be able to choose a reporting tool that works best for us. My questions are as below. 1) Is there any online information available detailing the similarities or differences between the reporting services and the Crystal Reports...

I have developed an application with VB.NET, which includes the Crystal Reports (Visual Studio .NET 2003 edition) controls. I can run the application on my PC and it does work fine, but on any other PC it throws an error message once the user tries to view an existing Crystal Report file. How can I use my application to view Crystal Reports from other PCs? Do I have to include the .RPT files in the VB.NET project? What about when .RPT...

First let me start by saying that this problem is not consistently reproducible. I have a windows service that creates reports for a group of entities. This service can process multiple groups at a single time, where each group is running in a separate thread. I have noticed mixed behavior when running multiple groups at one time (in separate threads). I have received the following two messages logged as errors. - A Crystal Reports...

I am currently using ASP.Net 2003 and will be upgrading to 2005 sometime in the near future. I have been having issues with using Crystal Reports that were included with .Net to handle my reporting needs. I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on how the new reportViewer control works in comparison to Crystal. One of the main problems I have been having with Crystal Reports is that they seem to load very slow no matter how small the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
