Hai Colleagues,
I am using Tomcat 4.1.24 and JDK 1.4.0_03 in my winXP machine. I've
transferred a set of folders(containing jsp files) into tomcat's
webapps directory(to /webapps/bob , /webapps/sue) and i have added the
folders bob, sue in my server.xml(in the context path).
When i am trying to run jsp files from my browser, it works fine. But,
the following jsp files reports some exceptions which is quite hard to

Greetings,
I've been working on a 3-column layout where the center column is of a
fixed width (230px wide). The center column must always be 230px and
the columns on the right/left (always the same size as eachother) must
always take up the remaining width of the browser.
I have been designing for Firefox and IE and routinely viewing the
results in both.

Am I misunderstanding the CSS specifications or is Firefox (version 1.0.6)
(and Opera) doing the wrong thing?
It appears that Firefox 1.0.6 includes the border in width calculations
for tables but not in height calculations.
Oh, and Opera version 8.02 does the same thing.

I have an application where users need to upload images and in my web.config
file I have a setting like this:
<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="512" />
Which restricts image larger than 500k from being uploaded. I'm also using
the HtmlInputFile control to do the uploading. My problem is that when the
user's file size exceeds 512k, the page immediately redirects to the "The
page cannot be displayed" error page which is very confusing. ...

I have set a file based photo galery. Thumbnails are generated and saved to
disk. Everything was working or so i thought until i found this problem.
When you click a link to go to a gallery everything works fine. But if you
reload that page then you get the dreaded generic error message. To it
happen go to http://riderdesign.com/photos/default.aspx?Album=EquineRotation
and then reload the page.

across the entire viewport in IE in RTL without setting the body
padding or margin to 0 (I want to leave those to their default for a

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
