Hi,
I'm setting the Allowmerge property of both the parent and child menustrip
but it doesn't work. I get two different menus instead of merged one when I
open a child window. Am I missing something?
Thank you.

Could someone explain how to merge the form menu with the mdi container
window. The menu strip items on the form window merge but I either end up
with a blank blue menu on the form or top list of items that don't do
anything.
MDI Container.IsMdiContainer = true
MenuStrip.AllowMerge = true
/// First menu items
this.miFile.MergeAction = System.Windows.Forms.MergeAction.Insert;

Hi All,
I've run into a problem with the MenuStrip control and any help would be
greatly appreciated!
The problem I've got is that when use a control derived from the MenuStrip
class all MDI merge functionality breaks - each MDI child window is given
it's own menu rather than the mdi parent.
To repeat the problem just create a very simple dummy app that has standard

Probably a stupid question, but I can't seem to find how to
Enable/Disable Submenu items within a MenuStrip.

VB 2005 Express. One MDIParent form and one regular Form. The MDIParent has
the standard ToolStrip. The MDI Child Form has its own ToolStrip that is to
be merged onto the MDIParent's ToolStrip. Sounds simple, right?
I've gone through quite a few URLs that all pretty much say the same thing
but I have yet to get this completely working. (Most of those URLs also seem
to wander away from ToolStrip and instead go down the...

For the last 3 or 4 days I've been, on an off, searching the Internet and
theVS2005 Doc for an example of how to add a contextmenustrip to a
menustrip. I can move all the items from a contentmenustrip to a menustrip,
but what I need to do is have the items in both places.
I did see where it was said that a contexmenu can be used in multiple
places. But I wonder if that means that multiple controls can reference the
same contextmenustrip....

I've been working on an app which has an array of RichTextBoxes. And I have
a context menu for the RTBs. The context menu has two levels; the first
level has two items, "Load Sample Text File" and "Insert Row >"; the "Insert
Row >" item on the first level invokes, if that's the right word, a second
level which has two items, "Above" and "Below". This all worked when it was
a ContextMenu. But I am trying to change it to use the new menu...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
