Hello

Yes i know how to do this ,,,,

A few years ago i made a administrator notifier ,,, the dell poweredge
series for wich it was does write even the opening of the case to the event
log with its management software,,, what i needed was that on every critical
event ( defined by us ) a e-mail was sent to the administrators group
so after finishing this project and doing some pioneering i decided to
donate the code

http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.Asp?ID=5903

please note that this is code from a few years ago ( i could now acomplish
probably the same in a nicer cleaner way however you get the point i hope
:-)

regards

I would like to use PHP (or any other server-side technique) to detect if JavaScript was turned on in the user's browser. Is there any known way to do this, and if not, why not! I realise I could serve one page to both, and have the basic function there by default and use DOM to replace it with another, but it would be more efficient and lower overhead to serve different pages to different UAs. Any suggestions welcome. Now if I was...

Appologies if this has already been asked, but after scanning the web and this news group I could find no decent solution. We have a windows App that calls a webservice, using this bit of basic code. Dim objPreReq As PDCPreReq.PreReqs Dim objProxy As System.Net.WebProxy = System.Net.WebProxy.GetDefaultProxy objProxy.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials

----------------------------------------------------------------------- FAQ Topic - How do I detect Opera/Netscape/IE? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The « navigator » object contains strings which specify the browser and version; however, this is in general not very genuine. Mozilla (and therefore Netscape 6+) allows this to be freely set, and Opera and IE allow it to be modified. There are...

I coded up a hit counter, then extended it to see who was reading my blog, by matching IP. The problem is that I am swamped by crawlers. How can I detect a human, or a crawler? If I can handle one, I can negate it for the other. Should I somehow user $_SERVER ? or something else? Thanks in advance.

Is there a command line switch available for the EventViewer which will allow me to specify which directory to view the available logs from? I will have multiple workstations writing to a mirrored set of really large flash drives. The workstations will write to their specific standard .evt files. I need to be able to start EventViewer and specify which workstations's logs to go view at startup. Is this possible w/o creating my own...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
