No questions, but just consider if this is useful to you:-) but of course
feedback & corrections are welcome.
function php_mixed_to_js_value($jsname, $mixed)
{
if(is_null($mixed))
{ return "\n $jsname = null;\n"; }

I'm running ASP on IIS 5. My users who are on the network can access our
database. Any users from the internet "outside" the network can't access it.
We don't have a firewall. Our Windows Server crashed and ever since then its
been a problem.
Any suggestions. I think it is a setting in IIS.
Thanks.

I have a c# application that calls a mixed code dll which in turn calls an
unmanaged dll that has an inline template class constructor.
The c# application runs fine until I use it on IIS
The problem only occurs the first time you run it in a debugger.
When it tries to enter into the unmanaged C++ inline template class it fails
saying that it can't find the specific code ... if you look at the
disassembly you will see that this template...

Hello,
I have a native DLL (written in C) which is supposed to call a managed DLL
(was written in C#, and an entry point was injected modifying the ildasm'd
code).
The exectuable calls the native DLL but the native DLL fails to load the
managed DLL. The paper that addresses the 'mixed DLL problem' below does not
offer any understandable workaround....

Hello everyone.
I am working on a Password Strength Meter and I am running into 1 problem that I would like to fix.
When pressing the "Clear Password & Try Again" button, the password clears out of the text box, but the meter will stay at its current position until text is entered back into the textbox. Once text is re-entered, the meter will display the results again. I would like everything to reset when the button is pushed, but I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
