my application run in 2003 is very well, (except General network error)
Now, as i complie by 2005, many error occured,
se.g combox's select index .2005 find me many many logicial error !

Can you post the exact error that you are getting and the line of code
causing it?
Also, if you are talking about compilation errors, VS 2005 has a lot of
warnings that can appear in the Error List, depending if you have set them
to appear or not. Warnings can also be configured to appear as errors.

I skimmed through the docs for Python, and I did not find anything like
a case or switch statement. I assume there is one and that I just
missed it. Can someone please point me to the appropriate document, or
post an example? I don't relish the idea especially long if-else
statements.

I've been looking at implementing switch/case on my photo gallery.
Most of the sites I've seen so far, only show the bare basics.
With no real practical examples.
As brucie does with his butterlies and bugs, he uses switch/case, but in
php.
Visitor clicks on a thumbnail selection and the thumbs appear.
Selection of a thumb shows the larger pic AND description.

I just wrote a function that has over 200 "cases" wrapped in a "switch"
statement. I'm wondering if there are performance issues in such
implementation. Do I need to optimize it some way?
In terms of generated machine code, how does hundreds of cases in a switch
differ from hundreds of if-elses? Do compilers or processors do any
optimization on such structured code? Do I need to worry about the
performance, usually?

Amusingly, one can use a while(0) statement to allow one to
perform a switch statement without breaks. The while (0)
enables the continue statements to break out of the switch.
