Is there a Linux PHP module so that I can process web cam video with
Linux PHP from multiple USB ports? (I'm working on a video surveillance
idea since I found out that my office spent a whopping $30K on their 8
camera system and were told it would cost $13K for 3 more cameras to be
added. If that inspires you to do your own system, please do so -- I
love it when people can make big cash with Linux!)
For discussions here, realize that...

Hi
Does anyone know how I can grab a video stream from an IP-address? There's a video web server for live image transmission in the Internet. Data transfer is accomplished via TCP/IP. The web cam that I am using is integrated into a network with fixed IP address. The streaming software is already there, so I have to go to this IP-address to see the live video stream.
How can I grab this video stream from an IP-address with an application...

it works correctly. But i need to compress the video stream in live

Hello all,
I have a Linksys WVC54GC network camera that I am trying
to integrate into a website and to enable browsers
other than IE to use.
Linksys, in their ever-short-sighted ways, decided to make
this device only compatible with IE. It requires IE and
ActiveX. However, you can access the video stream directly
with the following URL http://1.2.3.4/img/video.asf

I'm attempting to download a windows media video file from a remote
server and I would like to start playing it as soon as it starts
downloading. Is there some special way to save the file that will
allow Windows Media Player to play the file as I transfer it?
Cheers!

A new requirement at work is to come up with a software video stabilization method for our application. We have a camera mounted on a tower and there is some shakiness in the video that is what we would like to reduce.
I am able to view the rtsp stream with VLC and QT. The video will always be streaming.
I found Deshaker which is a video stabilizer for VirtualDub, but I have to find if VirtualDub has an interface for .Net.
Any help or...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
