Hi everyone !
This is a first time I post a message here. If I post my message in a
wrong group. Please ignore it.
I am trying to build a website which allows users (can be thousands of
users, supposedly) to upload their files to their designaged
directories (max 15 files for each user). A super user (can be more
than one) want to search for a particular file name and also a
particular textual part of a file of all user's files in all...

Hello, I'm receiving an error reading the machine.config file when I try
to access my web application. This error came out of nowhere. After
searching many sites, googelizing and searching here, I've found others
with the same problem but no resolution. The problem for me (and for
others) came out of nowhere.
Here's the error message:
>>>>> START <<<<<
Server Error in '/MyApp' Application....

I am hoping to get some ideas on how to handle a case when an
application gets too many requests for an application... I would like
to handle the case well...
(1) is the answer in using the queue limit attributes in the config
files and setting the too busy error page (in IIS i think) to nice
error page?
(2) is the answer to create a upfront request-handling application
that doesnt hit the database that counts requests for a certain...

Hello all,
I tried to write a program to search files in the
given directory in Vb .net using directoryinfo object in
a recursive function without multithreading. When the
directory contains thousands and thousands of files my
application remains in 'not responding' state without any
further progress. I need to track this situation
programatically. In otherwords is there any way in
VB .net to get the status of an application when it...

Hi
I have an asp.net application running under Windows 2003 Server, IIS 6,
for
2 years. Today, suddenly, the site went down at 3:38 pm and the
application raised an error entitled
"Server too busy". Searching the event logs I found an entry for:
Event ID: 0
Source:.NET Runtime

Questions about creating an .net ‘executable’ 2005 that will not remained
installed once a user enters some data into the application. I also want this
applcation to not require any previous software installed on a users
workstation.
I basically want to setup an application for new users when they are
applying for insurance. This application would preferably be a run as a
windows desktop application versus on the internet. Once the...

Hi,
I'm building a forms app that parses thousands of text files. My boss
insisted it have a GUI, to which I added an information console and a
progress bar tracking the number of files parsed.
Everything is working fine, except that when the application is run,
it devotes itself entirely to the parsing, and the form with the
console and progress bar just blanks out until the application
finishes running.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
