Hello,
I want to hide an item in listview but not remove it, how to do?
Thank you 2 7047
AFAIK, that is not possible, the ListViewItem lacks the Visible property.
Doing custom draw you can avoid painting it, but the hole will be there, I
think.

Are you talking about hiding the item and all sub-items (i.e. making
the row invisible?). If so, I do not know. But if you want to hide one
or more sub-items you can simply make their width 0. They can still be
accessed but the colum will be invisible.

I have a form with a list view control, a button control
and a main menu with menuDelete item. Any time I am
handling a button click event or menuDelete click event I
call DeleteItem() function which removes the selected item
from the list.
If I right-click on my list, I clone menuDelete item and
display a pop-up menu. So, if user selects Delete item in
the menu, I go through the same logic and remove the
selected item.

My listview has two columns: Email Address & Email Address Type.
I've figured out how to populate it, but now I'm having trouble figuring out how to properly use the SelectedItems to get at the particular row that is double clicked. Can someone give me an example of how to get at the item, and subitems, of a selected row in a listview?
Thanks,
billy

Is it possible to hide specific rows in a listview?
I currently have a listview in details view and the user can select
multiple views which shows the listview items matching the selected
criteria. I currently populate the listview from a List<> each time the view
is changed, but was curious if it would be possible to just hide rows which
do not match the criteria.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
I have attached a contextmenustrip in the designer to a listview.
When running, if there is no item in my listview, the contextmenu still
shows.
How can I hide it when no item is selected in the listview (when right click
is done)?

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
