2 questions:
1)I inserted a menu in an mdi window form. I right clicked on a menu
item and pressed edit names. I therefore edited all my menu item names.
Then I right clicked and pressed edit names again to return to the
normal view of the menu.
When I returned later on to muy menu names, they hadn´t been saved. How
do I use this utility (edit names), since the changes I edit don´t
prevail?
2) Is there a way to change the font and...

Menu Class: I am trying to build a menu system where the user menu options
are authorised via a database. My first thoughts are to store the menu item
(name) in the database so I can point to the menu item. Is it possible to
retrieve the collection of menu names (i.e. mnuFileExit) and then use that
collection to enable/disable each item? (i.e. mnuFileExit.enabled = True).
Or is there a better way to go?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi everybody,
I got the code for dimming a menu item from this group after looking
for it for a long time thanks to those who share their experiences with
the others :)
The problem I'm facing is that it dims the wrong menu item!! Example,
if I write "DoCmd.SetMenuItem 0, 2, , acMenuGray", it dims the 3rd
command in the 2nd menu!! It's driving me crazy!

I have created an ASP:Menu which is Horizontal and has dynamic menu items.
If I move my cursor to one of the static menu selections and click on it
(which should cause nothing to happen), my screen is refreshed and the menu
item "disappears". You can see that the item is there but the color of the
menu item changes to a color which makes it disappear. It would appear to me
that the <StaticSelectedStylewould be the style which would be...

I have a main window from which I want to open a separate side menu window. I then want to create a list of items on that side menu by clicking on the item names in the main window.
So far I am able to click on "Open Menu" and have the side menu open. I can then click on Items and have them added to the side menu using the innerHTML method or the node method.
The trouble comes in when I try to have the side menu opened automatically...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
