Connecting a SQL table to an exchange server

I am trying to mimick the actions of programs such as TRACKIT that will
allow users to send an e-mail to a he******@compan yname.com address
and put the information into a SQL table. I am using exchange server
and a SQL database. For example if Joe Blow sends me a message it
would add a new record in the SQL table that automatically created a
work order number, put his name as the requestor, and put the message
body into a text field called ProblemSummary. If anyone has any
suggestions it would help me tremendously.

I have been told that TRACKIT uses a MAPI interface to check the
messages in the inbox. I have been doing some reading on MAPI at MSDN
but still am quite confused about how to go about doing this. Another
update the exchange server is 2003.

I do something similar, although I don't use VB. I actually created a
program within Outlook using VBA to store messages in SQL. Although this
requires the use of Outlook it is something for you to consider an probably
significantly easier than learning Exchange Events.

I am sure it is doable using Exchange events, but I have not had the time to
try and learn these.

I think that the solution that I am looking for is going to use webdav.
I have been able to export file to an XML document but it seems that
everything is there except the body of the message.

Hi, Our company currently has a SQL Server 2000 database with various client information, accessed through an ASP driven intranet. We also use Exchange 2000 and a shared contacts folder. Many of the contacts are also in the SQL Db and when we get a new client, information is often entered in both places. What I would like to figure out how to do, hopefully via ASP is create a

Hello, Does anyone have experience connecting to an Outlook PST file or Exchange Server database using a distributed database? I'm trying to access Contacts, Inbox and Sent Items information, but each client and client site has a different email set up. For instance, One client site up North operates in a stand alone environment using Outlook PST files and no network server. While others use a server based PST file, others use...

I need some help connecting my MS-Access 2003 database with a contacts list on MS-Exchange Server 2003. I can get the default field list (using the wizard) but I cannot seem to get any of the other fields. I've tried modifying the schema.ini file with poor to limited results. I've tried using MDBVU32 and MfcMapi.exe in an effort to get field names but these tools don't seem to give me anything I can use to help with the schema.ini...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
