I would like to create a pulldown menu which is
semi-transparent....that is, you can see the text and graphics behind
it when it is pulled down. The effect I'm looking for can be seen at
http://www.countrywide.com. Are there any good tutorials which can
show me how to do this with CSS?

Hi,
I'm having a hard time trying to find out why the following lines don't
work in Firefox and Netscape. The idea is to change the colour of a
table row at onmouseover, and then put it back to the <body>'s original
background-image at onmouseout.
<html>

Hi all,
I would like to make a table or a div with a transparent background. The
solution found does work only with FireFox using a png image. The second
one works with IE and FireFox but make the text inside the div be
transparent.
Example:

Is anyone know how to manage to make a table with a transparent

I'm using Visual Studio 2003. I have a form with the following controls on it:
- a datagrid
- several buttons
On the forms property page, I have set the Background to an image.
The problem:
I observe that the form displays with the datagrid and the buttons
transparent down to the desktop for a significant amount of time.
On event frmMain_load, it takes a bit of code ( read time) to build up the
info for the datagrid. I believe it is...

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, so apologies if not.
I'm using a datagrid control in VS 2003 (VB.NET) in an ASP.NET (1.1)
project.
The datagrid control, which looks great with a transparent background
in IE, has a horrible bright blue background in Firefox. Anyone have a
workaround for this (other than the obvious one of not using a
transparent background...)?

I have a table over a cool background on my web site, but I'd like to have
one of the table cells "transparent" so you can see the document background
through it. How do I achieve that?

Hi,
On my website I implemented tooltip alike layers when you hover the
category items in the sidebar on the right.
See: http://www.roderik.net/
The layers that become visible have a opacity value of .8 and contain a
background image. The effect is as expexted.
However, the anti-aliasing is very poor in both Internet Explorer 7 and

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
