Sorry for this very dumb question, but I've clearly got a long way to go!
Can someone please help me pass an array into a function. Here's a starting
point.
void TheMainFunc()
{
// Body of code...
TCHAR myArray;
DoStuff(myArray);

I am trying to initialize an array only once so it can be seen & used by
any functions that need it. As I understand it, if a variable is
declared by itself outside of any functions, its scope is global and any
functions should be able to access it.
I have been having trouble getting this to work. In the 1st of the 2
examples below I initialize the Array "initArray" with 4 form text
fields. When I try to use initArray inside either of...

in K&R Chapter 6.3
it mentions two methods to calculate NKEYS.
and points out the first one which is to terminate the list of
initializers with a null pointer, then loop along keytab until the end
is found is less efficient than using sizeof operator , since size of
the array is completely determined at compile time.
i don't quite understand this. Could anyone explain to me in detail ?

Hi all,
I have a question regarding the gcc behavior (gcc version 3.3.4).
On the following test program it emits a warning:
#include <stdio.h>
int aInt2 = {0,1,2,4,9,16};
int aInt3 = {0,1,2,4,9};

Hmmm, I wrote the following code. I want an array of bools and I want to
intialize them to false.
bool bits = new bool;
foreach(bool bit in bits)
{
bit = false;
}
The compiler complains on the "bit = false;" stating that bit is read-only.

(see the post by ASM in the original thread; can be seen at
<http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/browse_frm/thread/3716384d8bfa1b0b>
as an option)
As that is not in relevance to "new Array() vs " question or to the
array performance, I dared to move it to a new thread.

They aren't. An array is an array. An address is a pointer value. These are
not the same thing. If you mean that &array and &array are the same,
they aren't. They have different types.
If you try to take the value of an array, what you actually get is the
value of a pointer to the first member of the array. That doesn't mean

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
