Some people over on Wikipedia seem to have the idea that VB.NET is not
a major programming language:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Templat...ual_Basic_.NET
I think they're wrong. But I had to agree with what one guy said - the
general view in the geeky programming community is that VB.NET is a
poor brother to C#; some still think it's just a slightly improved
version of VB! I don't think this will improve unless their is better
information out there, where these people are.
I also had to agree that the VB.NET article there was kinda poor.
Here's the current version:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_Basic_.NET
I've made significant additions to the article (check the history if
you want to see how it was before), but I don't know everything about
the language. I'm guessing some of the people on this newsgroup know
more about VB.NET than I ever will, so if you get the chance, could you
go over there and make a few edits to improve things where you think
it's lacking? You don't need to sign up to change an article, just
click the Edit button and start typing. :-)
Best regards,
