Hi,
Is there a tool in VB.NET that looks like the VB6's windiff?
Or any useful tool that allow me to view code difference between two
files other than windiff?
Thanks,
Marty 5 3270
If you are looking for source code, take a look at this C# sample:

You will find WinDiff on the Windows 2000/XP(?) CD-ROM in the
"Support\To ols" folder too.

Hi there,
A few weeks ago I made a post and got an answer which seemed very logical.

I am in the process of learning Python (obsessively so). I've been through a few tutorials and read
a Python book that was lent to me. I am now trying to put what I've learned to use by rewriting that
Numerology program I wrote years ago in VB.
There are times I am totally stuck (for instance, I just had an idea to put the numerical values of
the alphabet and months of the year in a dictionary located in a function. Then, I can import the...

First I have to admit that my English isn't good enough. I'm still
studying and sometimes I just can't express what I want to express.
A few weeks ago I've written 'Python Builder' - a bash script that
allows anyone to download, compile (with flags given by user) and
install Python and some external modules (e.g. wxPython, PyGTK,
Numeric...). I use Python every day and when new version of Python (or
some external module) is released, I...

Hi people,
(Sorry for the somewhat long post).
I request some of the people on this group who have good experience
using object-orientation in the field, to please give some good ideas
for topics to include in a course on object-orientation that I'm going
to conduct.
(I will later summarize all the replies and discussion, for the

I was just thinking about this, specifically wondering if there's any
features that the C specification currently lacks, and which may be
included in some future standardization.
Of course, I speak only of features in the spirit of C; something like
object-orientation, though a nice feature, does not belong in C.
Something like being able to #define a #define would be very handy,
though, e.g:
#define DECLARE_FOO(bar) #define...

mistake I make, but I just can't find it. I have been thinking about it
for three days so far and I still haven't found any solution.
My code can be downloaded from here:
http://www.tprimke.net/konto/PyObject-problem.tar.bz2. There are some
scripts for GNU/Linux system (bash to be precise).
All you need to know is that there are four classes. (Of course, you
may...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
