One way . . .

in form 1
Declare a Public Readonly Property to get a Privately declared variable
value

in form 2
Overload the Sub new and pass it the reference form the the calling form
Use the passed reference to get the Property in form1

in form1
dim f as new Form2(me)
f.show()

Sorry if this is real beginner's stuff, but I'm an old-school HTML guy and this is all another world to me. Is there an easy way to get the user to specify a number from 1 to 5 (in a pick list or radio button or similar) and get a javascript routine to multiply it by another hard-coded number (e.g. 7) and display the result further down the page? Thanks, Steve Litchfield

Hi group, I have this obscure problem that really needs to be fixed, but I am out of ideas. Because the original script is very big, I'll try to summarize its functionality. Setup: - many form-elements that will 'activate' a part of the form based on the selection made.

When I add the name of a new individual in a, bound form, it will not display that person’s name in a label control of a second unbound form. I have a scheduling program that I am working on. Included in the application program is a data “GRID” which I believe was created using Visual Basic, not standard Access. Its purpose is to display the results of a range of “from-to-dates” of registrations for different clients. The difficulty...

The different Validation controls like RequiredFieldValidator, RangeValidator etc. have a property named Display. This property can have 3 values - Dynamic, Static & None. What's the difference between the Dynamic Display & Static Display? Also suppose a Form has 2 TextBoxes & both the TextBoxes have the RequiredFieldValidator. The Form has a Button as well. <form runat="server"> First Name: <asp:TextBox ID="txtFName" runat="server"/>

Hi, I'm somewhat of a power user in excel and a newbie to Access though the possibilities are exciting me :-) I am trying to create a tool in Access to replace an existing tool in Excel. My question is whether I will be able to replicate some key features that I was able to do in Excel. The Excel tool was for operators in my company to put in records of Quality Control tests in production. Since we have a lot of complex tests, I was...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
