Where can I find a refrence that list all the regular expression sequences?
I can't find this in the VS.NET 2003 help.

Thanks,

I'm working on the 0.8 release of my 'rex' module, and would appreciate feedback, suggestions, and criticism as I work towards finalizing the API and feature sets. rex is a module intended to make regular expressions easier to create and use (and in my experience as a regular expression user, it makes them MUCH easier to create and use.) I'm still working on formal documentation, and in any case, such documentation isn't necessarily the...

I have been looking at the Python re module and have been trying to make sense of a simple function that I'd like to do. However, no amount of reading or googling has helped me with this. Forgive my stone-headedness. I have done this with .NET and Java in the past but damn if I can't get it done with Python for some reason. As such I am sure it is something even simpler. I am trying to find some matches and have them put into a list when...

Say I have some string that begins with an arbitrary sequence of characters and then alternates repeating the letters 'a' and 'b' any number of times, e.g. "xyz123aaabbaabbbbababbbbaaabb" I'm looking for a regular expression that matches the first, and only the first, sequence of the letter 'a', and only if the length of the sequence is exactly 3.

Not sure if you can help but I'm having a little trouble with c# and some regular expressions. This is the example I am trying to use: Regex r = new Regex(@"^(?<proto>\w+)://+?(?<port>:\d+)?/",RegexOptions.Compiled); return r.Match(url).Result("${proto}${port}"); For example, "http://www.contoso.com:8080/letters/readme.html" would

Hi, i'm using the regular expression \b\w to find the beginning of a word, in my C# application. If the word is 'public', for example, it works. However, if the word is '<public', it does not work: it seems that < is not a valid character, so the beginning of the word starts at theletter 'p' instead of '<'. Because I'm not an expert in regular expressions, maybe someone of you guys can help me? I need the correct regex to find the...

Hello guys, I'm trying to learn about regular expressions. I need to be able to use an RE that can evaluate for STRINGS (or specific sequences of characters), not just occurances of characters. Everything I have read thus far involves checking only for the presence or absence of characters. Can anyone provide an RE that will correctly evaluate a string to see if it contains other strings, specifically these (omit the quotes)..."<script>",...

Hey everyone, For the regular expression gurus... I'm trying to write a string matching algorithm for genomic sequences. I'm pulling out Genes from a large genomic pattern, with certain start and stop codons on either side. This is simple enough... for example: start = AUG stop=AGG BBBBBBAUGWWWWWWAGGBBBBBB

Pyparsing has a really nice feature that I want in PLY. I want to specify a list of strings and have them converted to a regular expression. A Perl module which does an aggressively optimizing job of this is Regexp::List - http://search.cpan.org/~dankogai/Regexp-Optimizer-0.15/lib/Regexp/List.pm I really dont care if the expression is optimal. So the goal is something like:

I would like to be able to convert any reference (function, object, or array) into unique string id and retrieve original reference afterwards using same id. The following code does this but only for functions, and for some unknown reason does not work properly for other kind of references. var func = function(){}; var ref_id = $GS(func);

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
