Dear all,
I have a tool which is able to receive any kind of data
from a remote system.
For that I need to get the ipadress of the remote system.
If the system is not connected to a DHCP server no
problem , I set in my configuration the ip adress.
Then if my remote system is connected to a DHCP server,

I have a system where my software sits on one server and interacts with
another server running MS SQL. My software recieves connects via a socket
layer on the internet and does it's thing with the SQL. This seems to work
fine.
The problem is now I have a situation where the internet connect is on
another server with firewall. When I listen to the ports on the server my
software is running on it seems I can not listen to the internet....

remote client browser returns the remote machine IP using by this machine on
the remote LAN, but the remote router of this LAN substitutes the LAN
address by the correct external, public one and we receive the correct

Sorry to repost, but this is becoming aggravating, and causing me a lot of
wasted time. I've got a reasonably large mixed C++ project, and after a
number of builds (but not a constant number) linking (and sometimes
compiling) becomes immensely slow, and task manager shows that link.exe (or
cl.exe) is barely using any processor time, but an awful lot of RAM (around
150-200MB). I'm going to keep an eye on page faults since I can't...

local network interface IP Address which is viewable to the remote IP Address
