Just downloaded and installed the latest Cygwin distribution which
includes python 2.3.4. IDLE runs fine but for some reason the toolbar
menu doesn't show up.
Like, by default, it starts shell window, but no toolbar. If I type
idle foobar.py
it brings both shell and editor windows, but once again, no toolbar on
either window -- which renders the edtior quite disfunctional.

Subject: toolbar script problem
NNTP-Posting-Host: 192.92.126.136
Recently, I downloaded the following beautiful script
"http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/toolbar-menu.html". It
works like a charm. I made my webpage in frames, where the nav-frame
shows the menubar, so whenever I click a link in the menubar, it opens
in the frame below. But...

I've successfully setup a xhtml 1.0 strict page with Mozilla & Netscape
to display links in a toolbar into an internal <div id='content'> within
the same document. The toolbar uses some javascript, but mostly CSS
class & id elements.
Mozilla & Netscape work fine handling the toolbar submenus & contents,
but IE6 misbehaves on several areas.
On loading the page, the target div (id='content') will not display.
When a menu item is...

Need help with creating a drop down menu. I am trying to replicate the
GUI of a large db application that runs on large Sun servers using
Oracle/Solaris, etc. My purpose is to create a stand-alone training
package using Access that people can run on a laptop to simulate as
near as possible the GUI of the real system.
My problem is that the actual application has a number of forms in
datasheet format which have a the word "File" in the...

I'm creating a shortcut menu to popup over my richtext box. Its a form
with a listbox of menu items with associated richtext activex (rtf)
editing commands. I found a way to transfer a value from the popup
menu to the form, but now I have one more step to take. The value
being transferred is a public function from a module. I need to find a
way to execute the function to edit the text in the richtext field.
Download the test database from...

Hi,
I was wondering if there was any way to disable certain menu items and
toolbar icons at runtime using VBA? Particularly the delete icon on the
tool bar and the delete option under edit. I want to force any record
deletes to be performed through the database rather then allow deletes from
the menu and toolbar options. If this is not possible is there a way to
restrict table views without using the security features? There are...

I cant seem to find a straight answer on the following.
I want to programmatically hide all menus except a basic custom report
menu (during report preview) and right click pop-up A-Z sorting on
datasheets (for subforms).
I would like to do this on startup of the application.
To be clear:

Hey group!
I have a toolbar with a "DEVELOPER" menu. I have it so that it when the
menu title is clicked, a pop-up form will appear if the user has not
yet verified that he or she has developer privileges (this menu only
appears when the user is set up as a developer, but i'm a bit paranoid
on these matters i guess).
My problem is that when the menu title is clicked, the form appears but
so does the menu, and the menu has the focus,...

I've been clicking around Access 2007 Beta 2 and can't see the custom
menu bar designer. Is it in the beta? Maybe I'm blind. The question
that comes to mind is: Will custom menu bars be the same height as they
were in previous versions or will they be the "ribbon" style that takes
up a huge portion of the screen?
Also when I use Access 2007 to open an Access 2003 database that has
custom menu bars they display as they did in Access...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
