Recommendation On a control

Does anyone have a working experience with Farpoint Spread control? How do
you like/dislike it? Any other recommendation would be appreciated.

Thanks
Shahriar

My personal favorite for use in VB is the VSFlexgrid. Their .Net version
looks very close and, since it's free right now, you might want to grab it
even if you eventually decide to use the Farpoint grid.

ComponentOne FlexGridT for .NET
http://www.componentone.com/products...1&ProductID=17

You'll want to grab this... it includes the licensing details (it's truly
free and unrestricted as long as you register through MS). A huge collection
of controls, samples, etc come with this kit.

The Visual Basic .NET Resource Kit
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/vbrkit/default.aspx

My experience with the ActiveX version of Farpoint Spread (don't know about
the .Net version) is that it seems to be geared more towards C programmers.
The usage syntax (imo) was a bit cumbersome with sets and gets everywhere
and, of all things, I couldn't get the row/col properties to behave the way
I thought they should..... coming from a VB/MSFlexgrid background, the
ComponentOne grids just feels more natural to me... The VSFlexgrid's syntax
(afaik) is exactly the same as its MS counterpart until you get to the bells
and whistles (the MS control has none <g>). The Farpoint grid is a fine
control and works as advertised... it's the usage syntax that bugged me.
fwiw, I wrote one app with the Farpoint grid and ended up converting it over
to the VSFlexgrid. The conversion was fairly straight forward so all hope's
not lost if you initially choose the wrong one.

I would like recommendations for implementing a calendar in an ASP.NET web site. My plan is to store date and event information (e.g,, "Spring Sale") in a database, and when the page is requested, load the calendar. Users would ideally view an entire month, and a short description of an event within a specific date. More than one event will be...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
