hi all,
I have written a C# Service which is a Server accepting Clients,It is
working fine when i connect from localhost but when i connect from any other
machine to my machine , the service is not working, the Service is in
"Network Service".....i even tried "Local System" and also "Local Service"
but the end result is , it is working only for Localhost connections and not
for Remote Connections...

I have a service, that runs perfectly when executed outside of the web
service environment. When called as a web service I get the exception
listed below sporadically. A call to the web method may succeed one time and
not another. I cannot find any reason why it would work one time and not
another. The exception occurs every two or three calls to the web method.

Hello,
I have a problem with our OnlineBackupService.exe. This is a Windows Service
which is built in .Net 1.1 and basically grabs files from the file system and
will try to upload them using WebServices.
The service is installed by default using LocalSystem account. The exact
problem is that sometimes this service is not allowed to resolve the target
webservice. This results in the following exception:

hey, I have a web service here, with a few aspx pages too. I want it to
display the current web service URL.
now the first example I have found is
System.Net.Dns.Resolve(System.Net.Dns.GetHostName()).AddressList.ToString()
but this gets the local IP addres of the computer. if I were running this
computer on a server, would this IP address be static and be the one I'm
looking for??
