Hey guys I posted this in the FAQs but I figured I would put it here to.
Here is what I am trying to do. I am trying to write a little app in vb.net
that when you first open
it, it plays a small avi file using media player 10. Right now when the
app opens it plays my little avi file but I would like the player to hide
showing the background behind the player, but I can't seem to get it to
work. Here is what I have so far:

Hi,
I need to create a program that will connect a media stream (a server on the
internet - Windows Media format) and then generate an error when :
* The stream is ok but there is no sound (for example when someone
disconnected the mic)
* The stream is ok but there is no more images
In these to cases, I imagine the encoding server is still working fine but

I am implementing a web application from which users will listen to
some English words and then select what they hear.
Basically, it would look something like the following:
***********************************************************************
1. Jambalaya
A. Kiampalapa B. Malayama C. Jambalaya D. Giambachiaka
************************************************************************

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a web page using VS2005, ASP.NET 2.0, that will
allow me to choose from a list of media files on my computer and then
play my selection within an embedded Windows Media Player on the page.
I've been able to eventually find out how to embed the player into the
page by manually inserting code into the source view of my aspx file.
It plays the file specified in the source view, but I'd like to be able
to...

I'm working on project that plays movies using Windows Media Player and
I'm controlling everything with JavaScript. Per the client I only need
to support IE 6 or greater which happens to make things a bit easier.
What I need to do is create a playlist and play it using JavaScript. I
keep on getting close but not close enough to play the dang files. Has
anyone done this before and can shed some light on what worked for them?

I'm trying to use windows media player in an app. I can give it an mp3
and it plays it, but if I give it a playlist it will not play and even
the play button on the control is not active.
btn_open_mediaFile works fine,
tn_open_playlist acts likes nothing happened except I see the name of
the playlist. What am I missing?
Also, if an mo3 is playing, loading a playlist stops it from playing.
here is my code

Hi,
I'm currently trying to build a website for a DJ friend of mine and I have come stuck with a couple of issues.
I've searched everywhere and put some code together but I still have problems.
I want to be able to map controls of the media player to images on the page
ie - when user clicks play image - song plays. I can currently get it working in IE but I can't get it to work in Firefox.
Problems:
1. The buttons (image buttons)...

Has anyone else had a problem using the AXWindowsMediaPlayer control and
VB2008?
It all seems to work fine for me, but I have sent my application out to a
few other people to test, and I have had a couple of reports of problems.
Both are using laptop computers. One of them says that the video doesn't
play at all (just a black box) the other says that it plays the video, but
when it stops (my code just plays until a marker is hit) it goes...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
