I have a web form with several fields. If I copy & paste from a RTF
document into a field, the javascript validation and field length are
bypassed and cause the form to fail.
Any ideas?

I am looking for a way to let the users copy e.g. a multi-line address from
a textfile and paste it into a webpage where there is one input field for
each address line in such a way that not only the first line is pasted, but
instead the program automatically jumps to the next field and put line 2 in
there and so on.
Can this be done? I tried with onkeydown to check for event.keyCode == 13,
but it doesn't seem to work with paste.

I'm running a VB6 program, the IDE for a compiler.
Paste doesn't work if the text was cut/copied from within the program.
That is:
1. Cut/copy inside the program, can't paste.
Program: CTRL-V doesn't work, "Paste" grayed out in menu.
2. Cut/copy inside the program, CAN paste to another program (i.e.: Notepad).

When selecting records from a combo box, everything works fine if the
Item Number is typed in. For example, if I type in FC9612 it executes
properly. However, in most instances, the item number will be
selected from another program. I would like to copy it from the other
program and paste it into the Access form to speed up the process,
however, when I do so I recieve "The item number you entered is not
in the list."
This only...

I need to be able to copy and paste the contents of an HTML page into
a field in my adp. Is this even possible? In Word I can click Paste
Special, and select HTML and it copies the table just as it looks on
the html page.
When I try to paste into a varchar field, I don't have the option to
paste special HTML, and it pastes in but loses all the formatting ie.
rows and colums.
actually, in word you can just select paste and it works...

Hello,
I am looking for a clever way to prevent someone from pasting copied text
outside of my app.
I know how to monitor the clipboard and get an WM_DRAWCLIPBOARD message when
text is stored in the clipboard... If only I could detect some kind of
outgoing message that the clipboard is about to paste, then I could check to
see if my app is currently in focus and allow/deny as necessary.

In an app I would like the user to be able to paste a Groupwise message into
several fields of a record. Since Groupwise doesn't offer good save-as or
export-options, the easiest way is that the user selects the whole message
in the Groupwise viewer and copies it to the clipboard. As an example, the
following text would be on the clipboard:
<<<

I'm trying to code cut, copy, and paste in vb 2005 so that when the user
clicks on a toolbar button, the cut/copy/paste will work with whatever
textbox the cursor is current located in (I have about 20 textboxes on the
form). Also to ensure that the button can't get used if the cursor isn't in
a textbox field. And to ensure the contents of the clipboard are "text"
contents that have been cut/copied from one of the textboxes on the form.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
