dynamic grid table on Winform

I'm porting an ASP.NET app to Winforms VB.NET EXE. In ASP.NET I dynamically
create an HTML table with variable number rows, cols, and cell contents
which includes variable controls (mostly dropdownlist and buttons) all
depending on certain input. I need to create a similar table/grid in
Winforms, what's the best approach. (I've looked at datagrid before and it
doesn't allow me to do some of the things I need)
Any suggestions??

Hi All I have been trying to add a control to the header cell of a datagrid on my ASP.NET page. These controls are defined in the HTML as ASP.NET web controls. They are being added into the header of the datagrid in the "ItemDataBound" method of the grid. However, once, they are added in the grid, i seem to lose the event handler for the same control. Is there anyone who has tried this before and knows why this is hapenning ??

I have an interesting issue. I need to implement a dynamic table to mimic a select list. Each time you double click from the master list, a row is added to the list of selected items. The list of selected items has a column header and differentiation between odd and even rows. This part is trivial. Clients have the ability to re-order the list of selected items. This is also trivial: I trap the onClick event for a row to select it. ...

I have a simple winform Data Grid with a XML source file. The heirarcy is 1 level deep. While I have expand selected, I still have to click on the hyperlinks to get the grid to show its data. What I would really like is to have it just plain come up as if I was getting the data from a databse ( not nested ). Is there a way to drive that ? Thank My grid comes up with three hyperlinks: TableName, transactions, transactionrecor If I click...

I have a dataset that comes from an XML file with schema. I take the table and make it the souce for the grid I am fine Now I am trying to create another table to switch into the grid. The table will be any number of 'queries' - that are made against the orignal data table ex: string strFilter="transactiontype='ERROR'" System.Data.DataRow errRow=dsOrig.Tables.Select(strFilter) I made a new table, made one column a key - because I want...

After I made a nice application with WINFORM I tried to apply much of the same code, but there are lost of differences. I load the grid colors, column width, column header from a xml data file. But when I use datagrid.bind - it pulls in all the data to its own columns. Ex: gridTX.DataSource = ds.Tables; this.AttachXMLdrivenStyle(gridTX,mappTableName); gridTX.DataBind(); // my columns are not mapped over....but stand alone.

Dear All, We are developing applications in ASP.Net...in one of our applications we would like to use a GridControl...we have tried to use a Server-Side Grid control but found the speed to be an issue...also our clients would like to use a lot of client side events like sorting, searching text, save each row on tab out of a row, use the auto correct feature... after intial r&d we feel that using a Grid Control in WinForms would be a...

This appears to be a feature of IE JavaScript. I am running IE 6.0 with the latest patches from Microsoft. Are there any workarounds other than re-coding the source HTML to place all the non-visible columns at the front? I have a page with a dynamic table. The table has some visible columns and some non-visible columns. The style "hide" is .hide { display:none; } <table id="SelectedList">

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
