Newbie question:
After a click event, if I want to reload the page and controls, is the best course to response.redire ct("mycurrentpa ge.aspx") where mycurrentpage is my current page?
What if, after a click event, I want to return the user to their last, previous page (out of more than one possible). Do I need to save that page name somewhere in a session variable?
Thanks

You can do that, or you can reponse.write a MetaData no cache directive for
the browser to automatically reload the page.
As far as history is concerned, you can either use a session variable or
write a javascript function for client side.

I'm going to be teaching EEs some basic Python using the first few
chapters of Learning Python, 2nd ed. by Mark Lutz. The discussion on
Reloading Modules starting on page 266 is confusing and I believe
incorrect. On page 266 it says that a reload "changes the existing
module object in place." That's a little vague, but on page 267 it
says "every reference to a module object anywhere in your program is
automatically affected by a...

Hi all,
I'm trying to reload a frame from a pop-up, but really cannot figure
this out.
Within my index.htm file, I make a link to call a pop-up frame with a
javascript function that calls the following code from an external
javascript source file, dynamically created with PHP
document.write('<a href="javascript:void(0);"

I have a page that opens a popup window and within the window, some databse
info is submitted and the window closes. It then refreshes the original
window using window.opener.location.reload(). The problem is that after the
reload, it brings you right to the top of the page. When I click 'refresh"
on the original page, it brings me back to the original viewing position.
Is there a way to duplicate this in from the popup window.

Hello,
I'm learning ASP.NET, and am having a strange problem with some example
code from the book I'm using. The code increments and displays the value
stored in a session variable when the "Add" button is clicked. In
addition, the session variable is reset to zero when the "Empty" button
is pressed.
The problem is if the value is non-zero and the page is reloaded the
value is incremented. It appears as if the "Add" onClick event...

Is it possible to reload a web page on user browser when an event occurs at
server side?
For example when user A places an order, user B should be notified of that
and should see that order on his page.
I 'd like to avoid to reload B page every nnn seconds. Or at least, I'd like
to check if something interesting has changed on server and only in that
case to reload the page.
Any suggestion?
Thanks Max

I have a page with multiple iframes and need to have the user (ie6) be able to click a button to refresh any one of the iframes - but also to click another button at the top of the page to refresh all of them - from the server (this could be on page refresh also) as the purpose is to reset the iframe to the original content in case the user clicked on a link in that iframe and changed it, but also in case there were updates to the original page...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
