I've just grabbed a PHP book and can deal with the syntax and now I
need to decide to learn specific packages and features.
Define "framework".
What are the major framework flavors ?
Under what conditions can I use two or more frameworks?
Sorry for the beginners question.

by any kind user, mostly those who do not know anyting about programming and
..NET Framework.
But have some hesitations about .NET Framework occurence on computers of
such users. Is there any statistics regarding this problem? I'm intrested
mostly in statistics for USA and European Union.

Hi there,
Has anyone any ideas if the next Framework will be an update to version
1.1 or another completely new install so that people have 3 Frameworks on
their system? And can VS.NET 2003 be set to use any Framework other than
1.1?
Nick.

Hi.
I've been looking high and low, but nowhere is this simple question
answered...
This concerns .NET Framework v1.1 vs. v2.0.
Does .NET Framework v2.0 include v1.1, + SP1, + post-SP1 bug fixes/new
features (*); or are they two separate applications that perform the
same job? (**)

I work mostly in PHP, but at the web design firm where I work we are
thinking of switching to Ruby on Rails. Our lead designer recently
installed Typo on a client's site and he said to us, with surprise,
"All Ruby On Rails software has the same directory layout?" That was a
revelation to him. He was used to the PHP scene, where diversity is the
rule.
I've done some google searches and I see that the subject has seen a
fair amount of...

I'm using VS 2005, and have a dll in some code (system.core.dll) that
was included in something someone sent me to run on my system.
I have production on a server using Framework 2.0 that I want to keep
intact.
Will upgrading my development box to Framework 3.5 preclude any
development or functionality in the 2.0 environment I am responsible for?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
