I want the form's look and feel like XP

I am working on a VB.NET project
The main requirement of this project is to get XP look and
feel to the application.
All controls should look like XP controls.
The form control also.
I am able to get this XP style to all controls except Form
control.

I want this form contol also look like XP form.
If we run the application in win2000, then also it should
look like XP form.

If any solution for this, plz help me....
I am even ready to buy the controls

Thanks

Hi,

You would have to add a skin to your form. Maybe this will help.

As far as I understand, the OP wants to apply Windows XP Visual Styles
to the non-client area of a form under Windows 2000.

I have quite often (as have probably many of you) come across HTML forms with irritating bits of Javascript attached. The last straw on this particular camel's back was a large form I was asked to complete in connection with attendance at a seminar. After spending more than 15 minutes on it, I clicked on the submit button - and nothing happened. Looking round the pages on Javascript form validation that Google produced for me (well,...

I know this isn't a php group but I was wondering if my problem is with my javascript in my php code. I'm debugging someone else's code and I can't figure out why this form won't submit. This code doesn't do anything: <?PHP $var1 = "http://localhost/php/index.php"; $varx = "bruce"; echo "<form name='formx3' method='post'><input type='text'><input type=button value=go onclick=document.formx3.action='".$var1."';

Hi all, Does anyone know what would be involved in redesigning the look and feel of the typical windows application form in .net? I've seen applications that have totally redisigned the look and feel of the form, including the minimize and maximize and close buttons. The new styles work identically on all the windows versions that I've seen (98, 2000 and XP) Can anyone tell me what I would need to do to redesign the Title Bar at the...

I am trying to learn VB.Net and can't figure out how to call a from from another form. In VB6, I just issue a Load FormX, and an Unload FormX... and Show the form and there it is. I am sure it is obvious, but I can't see how to do that in VB.net. Does someone have a piece of code that will call a from from another form and have it appear. Thanks,

Now i began to learn GUI programming. There are so many choices of GUI in the python world, wxPython, pyGTK, PyQT, Tkinter, .etc, it's difficult for a novice to decide, however. Can you draw a comparison among them on easy coding, pythonish design, beautiful and generous looking, powerful development toolkit, and sufficient documentation, .etc. It's helpful for a GUI beginner. Thank you.

I work for a software company who develops a Microsoft Access based application. I am currently in the process of designing a scheduler for this application and really like the design of the recurrence form in Microsoft Outlook. What is the legality of mimicking this form in our own application? In the course of researching other scheduling software, I have come across software that almost completely replicates this form. If there are...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
