I have been trying to write a script that will increase the size of
and image when you mouse over it, and decrease it to original size,
when you mouse out. After a couple of attempts, this is what I've come
up with. In this example, there are 5 images (0 thru 4) all with a
height of 80px. When you mouse over an image, it changes the
growingImage variable equal to the number of the image you mouse over,
when you mouse out, it sets it to 5,...

I have a subroutine that inserts image objects into
a page for me. It works fine except for one thing.
My mouseover settings don't appear to take. i.e. I
see nothing at all when I move the mouse cursor over
the image. If I replace the object creation code with
a plain document.write, it works. :
// this works as expected
document.write("<img src='marker12.gif' \
id='1' \

I'm trying to dynamically change the cursor of a couple of maps over an
image. Basically the image is in an online photo system where there is a
rotate mode. In this mode clicking on the left or right half of the image
rotates it 90 degrees to the left or right. I want to change the cursor to
indicate this but only while in the rotate mode. After looking at it in the
Mozilla DOM inspector it seems as if the style is changing but neither...

Given some recent success on a simple form validation (mainly due to
the kind folks in this forum), I've tried to tackle something a bit
more difficult. I'm pulling data down from a database and populating a
simple table. I'd like the table to contain 10 entries per page and
have the option for the user to scroll through the pages of data
without having to go back to refresh the page (I've already pulled all
the info I need from the...

hello,
sorry about the repost - I've been posting to several groups and I've
decided it's better to make a single repost to all of them rather than
an extra post in each.
I've been trying to work out why I can't get the image maps to work in
IE6 on a page I'm working on (which is now working in firefox). I've
written the page below as a test case. It's now refusing to work in
Firefox either, and I can't see anything wrong with it so...

I have a set of links that are currently images that when the person rolls
over them, they change color. Essentially the image is a box where the
background is brown and the text is blue. When the person rolls over it,
they want it blue background with brown text. As I said we currently do
images but that is annoying.
Is there an easy way ( or at least relatively easy ) way to do this just
using text and javascript to change the colors?...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...
