I've read about this error in several other discussions, but still
can't seem to pinpoint the problem with my code. Everything seemed to
be working fine for some time, but it now tends to bomb out on me for
some reason. The Summary field is pulled from a Rich Text Editor that
allows HTML formatting and appears to be the culprit, but I just can't
seem to figure out why. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Missing Help Files
When I enter "recordset" as the keyword and search the Visual Basic Help index,
I get many topics of interest in the resulting list. But there isn't any
information available from clicking on many of the available topics (mostly
methods but some properties are also unavailable). This same problem occurs
with many, if not most, keywords.
Is there any way I can activate these "missing" help topics? HELP!

Hi All,
What am I missing. I have trying to create a simple web based
application. Basically there are three textboxes and two buttons (Save,
Reset). I assume the code behind the save button should save the form
information to the databaase. So my question is this: How do I notify
the user the information has been saved? Do I have to redirect to
another page or can I display a message. I would like to do the latter
but I am not sure where...

I'm using a third part component in a certain app. The component has
methods and events. I noticed one particular event was not firing after a
while but it should have been. The problem was the "handles" part was
missing. I didn't remove this that I know of. After putting this back in,
the event started firing.
Actually, the code inside the event wasn't firing but the "private sub
eventname()" part was being hit. By putting a...

My server is running under Windows SBS 2003. I've deleted some directories
that was containing Outlook Web Access files, it was done few months ago by
mistake. Now I want to use OWA for some distant users. So, I tried the
procedure on the MS website:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B883380&x=13&y=19
I've done all of the Method 1, but the files have not been re-created, and I
get this Event:

Hi Guys,
I am trying to include my little script in my html report.
I have done an external JS file which contains it.
If you remember, you have helped me to detect if the asp page was
present by using ajax.
If not present is gracefully stay silent.
The problem is now that when the JS is not present (and it can be) MSIE
gives a lot of errors and one has to kill it.

A co worker of mine pointed out that we were missing the page level event
properties icon (aka the lightening bolt). This is vs.net 2005 and if I open
a web page in design mode apparently there should be in the Properties
window a lightening bolt representing the page level events that we can
double click and it'll set up the event code for us.
If I view a page and add a button for example the bolt appears and I can
click that and view...

Does anyone know why using System.Diagnostics.Process to "wrap" a console
application does not always transmit the I/O, depending on what processes
you're trying to "consume"? PowerShell, for example, does not seem to
process any I/O through the Process object.
I know that in the case of PowerShell there are better ways to "wrap" the
console by directly interfacing with the assemblies of
System.Management.Automation or some similarly...

Could someone check out the following code and please help me
understand the problem and fix it. It seems like some events are not
firing when my mouse moves over the table cells to quickly causing
some table cells to stay yellow when you move out of them instead of
going back to blue.
(Note that I'm using DIV's inside this table because the lightyellow
one will contain an image that will be mousedowned on to start a cell
selection mode...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
