I have been using vb.net /asp.net for 2 years. I am
slowing switching over to c# and have 2 questions.
1.) Within vb.net I can go into asp.net project
properties and I can enter the imports once for the
project. Can I do this with a c# asp.net project? (or am
i forced to put using on each and every asp.net page?)
2.) Within vs.net with a vb.net project, while editing
the code behind file, i have 2 drop downs along the top

Sometime ago on the comp.lang.c, I saw a teacher's post asking why C
compilers produce so many error messages as soon as a closing bracket is
missing. The response was simply because the compiler can't tell where a
bracket is missing.... a few weeks have past, I requested a feature for the
delphi ide/editor "automatic identation of code in begin/end statements etc"
and today when I woke up I suddenly released a very simple solution for this...

This should be a basic question.
In VB.NET in the two drop downs over the source code for a form you
can get a list of the events and overrides for that form. In VC++ in
the properties window you can get the events and overrides. But for
some reason I can not seem to find the list of events and overrides
for a C# form, if I do this. the Intelisense will show them but as for
being able to select it and have the IDE pop the function or...

Hi all,
Ive created a new ASP.NET web app and am trying to learn C#/VS 2005. My
first hurdle is that I can't find anywhere in the IDE where I can associate
a control with it's events. I need to cater for certain events of ceratin
controls but can't find where I'm supposed to do this like in VB.NET.
Any ideas?
Regards

Hi group!
I'm trying to learn C# on my own... I'd appreciate it very much if someone
can help me out here.
I have a basic form without any controls on it... I want to catch mouse
clicks (both left and right). When I select the form and go to the events
tab (the bolt icon in properties), it gives me several options to choose
from...

Hi there.
When I open up the Properties window in Visual Studio, the Events (lightening bolt) icon is not showing for any control type that I click on in a project.
Does anybody know if there is a setting for this please as I can't use the mouse to invoke a template method body in the code, such as when you double-click SelectedIndexChange?
Yes I know it is okay to code this by hand in the aspx and cs pages but this shortcut does...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
