Hi,
I am writing an App in .Net that involves some scheduling of tasks. I was
wondering if anybody has come accross any components or examples of how to
implement a schedule manager like the one in the Task Scheduler for Windows?
Basically I'm after something that'll allow me to specify a "recurring" or
"once off" schedule with advanced options like "the first monday in the
month" etc.

My apologies if this is in the wrong newsgroup, but I wasn't sure where to
post.
I am looking for a way to create an Outlook task through an ASP.Net script.
It seems this will require the ability to create a binary WINMAIL.DAT
attachment in an email. Does anyone have any information on how to achieve
this? Does it require ASP.Net, or can another language like PHP be used?
Thank you,
-Erica

A familiar behavior seen in Outlook Web Access is mini-browser windows
that pop up telling the user a task is due for completion or an
appointment is coming up. I'm looking for ideas on how this is done. I
would assume the process is something like this...
1) A SQL call is generated every five minutes or so, saying "Select all
tasks owned by this user where due date is less 24 hours away."
2) Outlook Web Access then takes the results of...

I would like to have my application add administrative tasks to an
Administrator's Outlook Task Folder. I know how to get the User group of the
CurrentUser and think I can even code how to do the actual additions.
A couple of questions:
1) How do I code it so that it only occurs once - the first time the
administrator opens my app. I think I need code that checks if the tasks are
already there in Outlook and then aborts if they are....

assigned either by simple list, detailed list, assignment, by person
responsible, etc. I can't find a way to do this, HELP!

I am currently sharing my task list on an office server, so that all users
can access, add and edit tasks (but not delete). Is there any way of
preventing the same task being opened by more than one user at a time? We
have had some instances of tasks being open on more than one machine - if it
has been edited on one machine and saved, there is no way of updating the
other (open) occurence of the task.
I was wandering if this option was...

Hello--I'm using Outlook. When on "Tasks", my page is set up with "To do List" at the top. I've sorted 'my view' to contain what is important to me. So on my view, it will say "Due Date: Sept. 1, 2008" and then below that are my tasks for the day, organized the way I want. Below all those tasks is another row, "Due Date: Sept. 2, 2008" with all my tasks below that. Etc. Etc.
My question is---is there a way to change the font or color on "Due...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
