accessing and modifying .jpg file attributes

if you right click on a .jpg file -> properties -> summary tab,
you can set some of the attributes of that file (title, subject,
author, comments, etc.).

how do you access this information from a .jpg file and modify it,
using a VB.NET application? What I'd like to do:

1. have user browse for path of a particular .jpg file (i know how to
do this)
2. extract the current "subject" attribute information (don't know)
3. enable the user to enter a new "subject" attribute of that file
(don't know)
4. set the user's input into the "subject" attribute of the .jpg file
(don't know)

any help would rock my face off! i've done countless google searches
on this, and nothing so far. i thought i'd post it to a forum to see
if people could help out.

thanks!!!!

I have some information embedded in included schemas which I want to access at run-time for the purposes of contructing a GUI (they will support field labels and tool tips). The options seem to be to store them as documentation/appinfo elements within the included schema or as unhandled attributes. Because the schemas are included it seems the items would have to be accessed via the SOM (as opposed to retrieving the details via XPATH)...

The basic concept is a music playlist that I'm trying to write as a table inside a div. I have Song and Playlist 'classes'. The Song class has a Write() method, as does the Playlist. The Song.Write() boils down to this: var tr = document.createElement("TR"); var td = document.createElement("TD"); tr.id = this.ID;

Hi, Is there a .Net control available that allows to write into web.config file appsettings section? The idea is to create encrypted user name and password for database connection and then use them from ASP.Net. The program that will create the encrypted entries is a simple winform app. ConfigurationSettings.appsettings allows to read web.config sections but how

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
