Exporting to Word from Web App

Hi,

I have developed a web-based application in VB .Net and have a need to
export a report to Microsoft Word. I can create the report in Crystal
Reports and use it's functions to export to Word. The Word file is created
on the disk. However, when trying to load Word with teh file, it works for
the first few times and then after while Word pops up a message box saying
that the file does not exist. It seems to be looking in the wrong folder.
Is there a specific way I should export data to Word?

I have also started to use a Rich Text Box control so that I can have
formatted text in a textbox. The data from this is save in HTML. I need to
convert this to RTF so that it is displayed properly in Word. Can anyone
help me in this?

Pete

Is it possible to export a report to word and have it include the graphics that are in the report? I'd like to take some of our reports and export them to word so we can email those to the client, but when I export, I lose the logo as well as any graphics (grey line separaters, etc) and only get the text of the reports.

Hello. I am using an access 97 application that exports a report to RTF format, which is subsequently emailed to various people. The main informational field in the report is a free form memo field which can be very short or very long. When the report is created in access, the formatting is fine. If you print it, is fine. No problem.

The error is occuring on the "With Me.OLEObject" line. I am trying to extract a Word document(OLE object) from an Access database, for each record in the table, and save it as a Word Document. The 4th field of each record is a OLE object type. I may be getting...

I'm having trouble with exporting reports to Word in the rtf format and I'm hoping someone has a solution. The reports are losing their formats. Not all the formating is lost but some is and of course it's the really important parts that are lost. In one report the grouping is lost and everything gets repeated. I've created several reports that pull data from various tables then they get exported to Word when they're run so the user can...

Hi, When exporting a report to Word - all the formatting is exported with no problems, with ONE exception. Check boxes that show up in the reports are missing. When exported to Word, I don't see the blank check boxes or the checked boxes that show up in the Report. Any ideas?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
