what's teh link between developerdex and this newsgroup?

I have sent posting to this newsgroup, and notice that if it's answered on
developerdex, the posting is removed from this newsgroup forcing me to goto
develoersdex. Why is this?

Maybe developersdex doesn't send the messages to microsoft's news
server.

Ray,

Any "link" would only be established by DeveloperDex. A newsgroup server is
a web service which uses the NNTP protocol and anybody is free to gather up,
store and post messages to a newsgroup using any software that conforms to
the protocol. You can write an app yourself in VB if you want.

You can read the microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.vb messages from any of
hundreds of news servers around the world. If they don't forward the
messages properly or have filters in place or limited storage you'll get
varying results.

In short check with DeveloperDex.

Hi! First of all, I hope my problem is not too loosely tied to the "standard C++" that is the topic of this group. I have some code that exhibits a strange behaviour: on one computer, where I compile with g++-3.2 it compiles and works fine, on another computer, whether I compile with g++-3.0 or g++-2.95 (unfortunately 3.2 is not...

Hello, I've got a situation where a page has a picture on it. This picture is linked to in a newsgroup posting. The owner of the site wants to know how many times the picture is viewed from the newsgroup, it is a small pic about 74k if that matters and stored locally on the server, not a link that he's pulling in from another site. Thanks....

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
