I decided to strong name the axhost generated when I inserted the an
activex control in my windows form. To this end...
1. Created Interop Interop.MyAnalogLibrary.dll
tlbimp \winnt\system32\MyAnalogLibrary.ocx
/out:Interop.MyAnalogLibrary.dll /keyfile:..\..\1.snk
2. Created AxInterop AxInterop.MyAnalogLibrary.dll
aximp \winnt\system32\MyAnalogLibrary.ocx
/out:AxInterop.MyAnalogLibrary.dll /rcw:Interop.MyAnalogLibrary.dll

When I use a COM control (via add reference) it generates interop
when the com is dragged into a form it creates axinterop.
what is more interesting is the axinterop works fine, the interop
causes com exception error.
i know these inherit from different base classes, but why the problem.

I am writing a control in C# that requires me to use an ActiveX control
created in VB6. It works fine running from inside the IDE in both debug and
release mode.
However, when I try to run an installed version, I get an
InvalidActiveXStateException whenever I try to access a method or property of

I recently referenced a COM (ActiveX?) dll in my project. .Net seemed to
create two wrappers for it: Interop.xxx.dll and AxInterop.xxx.dll. Why
did it create two and what is the difference between them? Do I need both
of them?

I was building a deployment project and included the manifest file
directly in the application folder (perhaps not wise) so that the exe
would display in XP style.
When I built the deployment project lots of the references in my main
project (the thing the deployment project would install) become
broken. The path info had disappeared. On trying to re-Add many of

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
