State holidays

Bob
In .NET, is there an easy way to determine State Holidays, such as
Thanksgiving, Memorial day, etc?
Any reference is appreciated.

Is the same in Dutch, I would write here that the word Holiday is alway a
problem for me what is the meaning when people use it.
ACK. Thanks for making me aware of that...
For Dutch it is also a different meaning "christelij ke of publieke feestdag"
while i mostly use holidays as vakantie (Ferien).
In Austria (German language), we say "Festtag".
I have the same trouble with you with it.

Exactly therefore it is good placed in the local settings.
As far as I know is Chrismass even in the EU not in all countries on the
same day.
But that country has even totaly other characters than we.

And I am sure that those days you did not know from my other message are in
Austria also, it are very much Catholic Holidays.

Thats what i thought when this thread was first started. How are you going to keep track of
everyone holidays, especially when some are considered "religious" holidays (Christmas, Easter, I
will not try to spell the jewish holiday that happens near Christmas, but you know what i mean,
kwanza, etc). These holidays may or may not be recognised by the government of the country, and
if you are in a locale that is in more than one country then whos rules stand? Sounds like a can
of worms to me.

Hi! I have a large table in SQL Server 2000 with a datetime-column 'dt'. I want to select all rows from that table, excluding days which fall on holidays or weekends. What is the best way to accomplish this? I considered creating a new table called "holidays" and then selecting all rows (sort of "where not in (select * from holidays)") , but I was looking for a better solution since that implies that I have to populate the "holidays"...

Hello, we have a travel agent client with two websites, they are pretty much identical apart from the template (master pages) and a few copy edits here and there, they are however on seperate domains. The search functionality, login, register and rest of the code base is identical. TravelAgentWebsite1 is for worldwide holidays, and TravelAgentWebsite2 only UK holidays. Now, if a client was to perform a search on TravelAgentWebsite1,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
