Hello
I think I screwed myself here and I am no sure how to fix it. I installed
Visual Basic 6 to work on some old projects, but I installed it after I
installed Visual Studio.net 2003. After I installed VB6, I couldn't add
forms to my VS.NET VB Projects, so i removed it and I still can't add forms
to my projects. I get an error "UNSPECIFIE D ERROR" real helpful I know,
I've searched everywhere on support.microso ft.com and I can't find anything
that helps me.
Please help
Thanks

You just know what I'm gonna say dont you ?
Preserve your solutions directory and then remove VS2003 , reboot and
re-install. You might find the solution in the end, but its quicker to spend
an hour reloading it, than endlessly searching for a surgically accurate
fix.

Thanks OHM,
That's what I was afraid of, I don't have my Visual Studio discs with me
today. I'll try this and let you know how it works out.
Thanks

Mhm... Run setup in repair mode (this will take very long, I know).

In Visual Studio 2003 when I try to add a new component or form to a project it pops up an error, "Unspecified Error" with no details. I tried re-setting permissions on the disk drive and also re-installing VS 2003 with no joy. Everything was hunky-dory until I installed WSE 2.0. Anybody have any clues?

Please help
I don't know if this is possible but what I would really like to do is
to use On Error Goto to capture the code that is being executed when
an error occurs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I'm using a third party hosting service. I presently have a Web Service on
this hosting service's server that loads and executes a native mode DLL.
This demonstrates that the hosting service has given me proper access to the

I believe it also demonstrates that I have access to c:/documents and

What is a Null Reference error and how do I fix it?
My newly installed VB.Net2003 gives me a "Microsoft

I've just added a fixed dialog form to my project and set up an
Oledbdataadapter as I've done on several other forms on the same
project. The problem is that when I try to generate a dataset now I
get an unspecified error message, and when I go back to other forms
on the project it does it there too even though the pages compile and
run and the connection is correct and open. Any ideas?

Hi,
I have a MSCOMM object on my VB.NET project. When I run the program in
development environment, everything is running fine. So I added a setup
project to create a setup program, when I was adding it, it said:
The following files may have dependencies that cannot be determined
automatically.
Please confirm that all dependencies have been added to the project.

I have a function residing in a module that is doing some file copy and
database query operations. This function is called from a regular form under
a System.Windows.Forms.Timer control. The problem is that sometimes it gives
an error - even when it is doing the same exact operations. It may fail on
the 20th tick event or the 100th. The file and data has no changes - so, it
is doing the same operations repeatedly. I'm wondering if anyone...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
