Grid, text wrapping

Hi

I have increased the grid row height. The problem is that text in a cell
still appears in a single line and does not wrap to take advantage of the
extra height. Is there a way to wrap the text to fill the whole row height?

Thanks

Regards

I hope to add support for multi-byte encoded and bidirectional text to my curses-based UI library: http://excess.org/urwid/ I would like to support whatever encoding the user likes. Are there functions for: - querying the preferred encoding - splitting encoded strings into characters based on an encoding - determining the direction (L to R, R to L) of each character - determining the number of columns used by each character when...

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a datagrid to size as the browser is resized such that the datagrid's borders would appear anchored to the browser edges. The datagrid should have a white-space border around it and scrollbars should automatically appear on the datagrid should the contents of the grid spill outside of the viewable area. I have gotten this to work for the IE browser by placing a DIV tag around the datatable...

Hi all, I have an app that needs to display a reasonable amount of text in a grid. The one that ships with VS.Net will only display this text on a single line, and not word-wrapped over several lines, like you can do in Excel. I know that there are several 3rd party

Hello, We are converting to a VB Dot Net application . We have a grid with multiple columns. The headings in each of the columns are long and so we have to wrap the headings and display them in two lines as the header...similar to the wrapping property in Excel. The Carriage return and line feed does not seem to work. It does'nt look like you can change the header properties of a grid in Dot net. if I have "Last two Year sales" as the...

Is there really any advantage to using DIV elements with float style properies, vs. the old method of TABLE and TR and TD? I'm finding that by using DIV, it still involves the same number of elements in the HTML to get everything just right. When you consider the class attribute on the DIV elements, there's not much size savings anymore for using DIV. There are other disadvantages to not using TABLE/TR/TD, such as the lack of ability...

so my little calculator works perfectly now. just having some trouble with the layout. this whole tkinter-thing seems to be more tricky than it should be. how can i make the 4 column of buttons have the same distance and size between them as the other 3 columns? and how can i make the top entry end where the 2nd row entry ends(meaning the top entry will be longer)? why are the 4th row split from the others? hard to fix the problems...

The grid manager is for equally distributing widgets both horizontally and vertically. And I'm not sure that you can realize that window look with Tkinter. You could get close by horizontally packing each widget row in a frame and then vertically packing the frames in the window. But the look...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
