Well, there are a couple ways you could do that.
You could write a windows service with a
System.Timers.Timer object, that fires an event ever 15
minutes. Or, you could use a trigger on the table you are
evaluating. On update for your table, your trigger fires
executing a piece of code that could be a SQL job, or an
actual executable you had written in VB or VB.net. The
easiest programatic way would probably be the service
though.

I am new in C#.Net and going to write a window
client/server application.
my database is mysql and the data will update every min.
what i need to do is push the up-to-date data to clients
from server directly. Clients just need to read the data,
not neccessary for modification.
Can anyone recommend me what method I should use? DataSet
or Threading or anything else? Any samples?
Please help

Hi,
I am doing a small project using socket server and thread in python.
This is first time for me to use socket and thread things.
Here is my case. I have 20 socket clients. Each client send a set
of sensor data per second to a socket server. The socket server will
do two things: 1. write data into a file via bsddb; 2. forward the data
to a GUI written in wxpython.
I am thinking the code should work as follow (not sure it is
feasible)...

I am trying to log events to SQL Server instead of the computers event
log, but, although I get no errors, I have no luck. The
webevents_events table is empty. I have a custom event that I am
raising (passwordchange), and can see it beign raised
successfully...just it seems to go nowhere. I have run aspnet_regsql
to setup the database to handle event recording. I am fairly sure I am
missing something in my web.config file. (I would...

I try to do everything according to the instructions like this page here:
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/articles/20060407.asp
First I run the aspnet_regsql tool on the command line succesfully to enable
the database for cache notification:
aspnet_regsql -S -E -d -ed

Hello! I'm trying to get caching work with ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server
Express Edition 2005, but I have a problem and I can't figure out what I'm
still doing wrong.
I have enabled the database for cache notification by running the
aspnet_regsql tool on the command line:
aspnet_regsql -S server -E -d database -et
Then I have run the aspnet_regsql tool to enable each table in the database
for cache notification:

I've seen many posts and ready articles discussing how changing the
membership & roles "provider" in VS .NET is easy, but have yet to see
instructions on how to do it.
If I already have SQL Server 2000 on a machine and didn't install SQL Server
2005 Express with my VS .NET installation, how do I set up my existing SQL
2000 server to be the membership & roles provider for ASP .NET?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
