Pseudo code advice

My new employer is CMM Level 3. As part of the CMM/Personal Software
Process, I am required to create pseudo code for my stored procedure
and UDF design. Has anyone done this? If so, can anyone give me some
advice?

Long time since I did any psuedocode, back in my COBOL days, basically
you're just outlining the logic of the procedure using what looks like
a cross between English and a programming language, e.g.

if Sales > Purchasing then
we're doing well
do payroll run
else
send snotty email to sales team
send apologies to everyone they're not getting paid this month
endif

after you define the logic, you can start inserting real code between
the if, while, case constructs.

Hi all I've written a python program that adds orders into our order routing simulation system. It works well, and has a syntax along these lines: ./neworder --instrument NOKIA --size 23 --price MARKET --repeats 20 etc However, I'd like to add a mode that will handle, say:

I would like to create a menu that uses the 'active' pseudo-class to highlight the current page, but I cannot get it to work. The URL http://www.lensescapes.com/tst/nav/1.jsp shows the attempts so far, there are links to 3 pages, but (in IE6 and Mozilla?on XP) do not render the link of the current page as yellow on blue. What am I doing wrong, or is my understanding wrong?

The issue of the focus pseudo-class came up a few weeks ago, and I finally got around to trying it out (better late than never ...) The recommended order given for the pseudo-classes is link, visited, focus, hover, active. However: - Mozilla doesn't seem to do anything with the active rule; - IE gets things wrong as usual: it uses the active rule for focus; it ignores the focus rule; - Opera ignores both focus and active rules and...

ISO/IEC 14882:2003: "5.2.4 Pseudo destructor call The use of a pseudo-destructor-name after a dot . or arrow -> operator represents the destructor for the non-class type named by type-name. The result shall only be used as the operand for the function call operator (), and the result of such a call has type void. The only effect is the evaluation of the postfix- expression before the dot or arrow.

Greetings. Some time ago, I had writing a CVector <T, N> class, which implements an algebraic vector of arbitrary both dimension and scalar type. First, I defined the interface for the generic algebraic vector class. The problem I encountered there was that algebraic vectors of some concrete dimensions were susceptible to include some extra methods not included in the most generic case. For example, 3-dimensional vectors include the...

One issue that comes up fairly often around here is the poor quality of the pseudo-random number generators supplied with many C implementations. As a result, we have to recommend things like using the high-order bits returned by rand() instead of the low-order bits, avoiding using rand() for anything that wants decently random numbers, not using rand() if you want more than approx. UINT_MAX total different sequences, and so on. So I...

Hello, Is there a way to manipulate or at least read the pseudo-class of an element ? I know the style attribute can be accessed and gives the CSS properties for a particular element. However, I can't seem to access the "hover" properties. example :

Hello, I hope this is the best place to ask my question. I was wondering if there was such a thing as a pseudo terminal in Windows. For those unfamiliar, in Linux/Unix one can create a pseudo terminal which to an application looks and acts like a regular com port (tty device in Linux-ease). The purpose of such a thing is to allow an application which communicates via a com port to remain the same (except for changing its com port...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
