Hi all,
Just a quick question. I am using Sql Server 2000 and calling stored
procedures from asp.
At this stage i am forgoing using the ADO command object and am simply
create dynamic like sql statement for store procedure execution.
My question is, I find the code below quite messy, particularly when it
comes to checking for option parameters using if statements.
Is their a better way to write this, keeping in mind i have to check in...

interest and on reading the post describing Lauren Quantrell's
SmartTree, I've run into something I don't understand: Stored
Procedures. I thought stored pricedures were an Oracle/MS SQL Server
thing and don't know how they work with Access Jet. I've looked at some
of the help on stored procedures in A2003, but really don't understand
what's going on.

What is the purpose of a view if I can just copy the vode from a view
and put it into a stored procedure?

Hi,
I am trying to create stored procedures in MySQL. Does anyone have a
suggestion on a good IDE to use. I have been working with the MySQL
Query Browser but it generates errors very often and is shut down by
Windows. When I make changes to my procedure, it doesn't seem to
always change what is being executed. Furthermore, sometimes the

We have a stored procedure that does a basic insert of values. I am
then able to retrieve the ID number created for this new record. We are
currently using ASP.NET 2.0 and use N-Tier Architecture.
The Stored Procedures are used through TableAdaptors, which in turn are
used by Class Files.

time. I have been using Visual Studio 2003.NET. While VS2003 is okay for
intellisense of ASP & Javascript, it's still not that great.
One of the cons of ASP & Javascript is that they're both interpreted, which
