there can help me.
I have heard the Oracle Rman can do replication of Archives logs. In this
way, one can setup some sort or Oracle Instances replication accross 2
machine at different sites.

I'd like to use log shipping to provide warm backup to some production
MSFT SQL 2000 servers. I know that I can write something to ship logs
but I'm looking for a complete solution that would take a while to
write. Prefer not to upgrade to SQL enterprise (too costly). Is
there a tool that provides a robust solution? ... deletes old log
files, logs events, does backups, failure notification, recreates
schemas, etc.

I need to implement a dirt cheap replication method for some dirt
cheap servers. We are using the SQL Server workgroup license. Is
there anything in this that prevents using log shipping for
replication in Workgroup versus Enterprise?
Thanks

Hello All
We intend to replicate a database in order to have it as a near immediate
standby in case of the failure of the main server.
Is this the best solution for disaster recovery?
We are currently testing our replication plan. When we set up the
subscriber, a snapshot of the publisher is created and this takes hours. Is
there a better way?

Is there any problem with implementating some kind of replication and
backing up transaction logs at the same time? SQL Server 2000 Standard
Edition
The server is configured to back up log files regularly, with the
presence
of a(New) Disaster recovery server and with an inability for
standby(Standard Edition)I am planning to implement some kind of
replication hopefully still backing up the transaction logs to enable
a point in time...

Hello Group,
I'm working on two SQL server databases on two different remote
servers. What client needs is that his database on one remote server
should be mirrored to the other one. The changed should be propogated at
regular intervals at the other server.
For now i'm quite sure that i'll have to use replication to resolve
this issue.
But which type of replication should i use? Transactional, Merge or

I am working on an application note to provide instructions on how to
use a real-time file replication application to provide disaster
recovery for DB2.
I basically need to know how to identify what files need to be
replicated for the default databases and others that are mounted. I
would greatly appreciate any offered assistance.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm trying to find an easy, efficient and safe site-to-site
backup/failover solution.
The idea is to have anytime a remote copy of 99.99% of the data.
Productive db -> VPN (internet) -> Backup site

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
