Hi, guys - looking for a bit of help/advice on moving a database from
SQL 7 to SQL 2000.
We've a third party application which currently uses a SQL7 database.
This database has a number of views which are owned by user
INFORMATION_SCHEMA and are set as system tables. This user doesn't
actually have a login on the SQL server.

I wanted to create a calculated member for a cube using member propery
os dimension .My MDX syntax is as follows
Sum({.})/(Val(..Members.CurrentMember.DataMember.Properties("Int Total Emp")))
Once i browse the data in the cube column gave an #Err.

I have defined a member property called "int Total Emp" under the
dimension team and defined calculated member under measures using this
property called "total # emp" as .properties("int Total Emp")
value expression.But the cell of this calculated member property
gicves en erros when rooling up to highr levels .

I get "SQL Server is unavailable or does not exist" error while
developing asp.net application in vs2003's IDE development mode. The
sql2000 is installed on a windows 2003 server. I
am able to connect to server using Query Analyzer and Enterprise
Manager.

Hi All
I am finding unexpected results when inserted into a newly created
table that has a field of datatype int identity (1,1).
Basically the order I sort on when inserting into the table is not
reflected in the order of the values from the identity field.
Have I been wrong in assuming that it should reflect the order from the
sort?

I am trying to add a SQL2000 subscriptor to a SQL2005 publisher and
distributor using the Management Studio.
I'm using a non-standard port in both ends, but I have set the port
for the TCP/IP protocol to the non-standard port in both the server
and client network configuration.
I can add the SQL2000 server to the Management Studio console without
problems, and even without haveing to specify the port I'm using (as
expected)

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
