The postgresql documentation claims that "on insert" rules are executed
after the insert. This is not happening for me. I have a rule that is being
executed even though the insert should have failed due to a foreign key check.
The rule does an insert that is failing, and the whole insert fails. So in
this case it's not a huge problem. But I get a completely useless error
message, and as far as I can tell there is no way to determine...

Our ASP.NET (VB) is generating sporadic "Unable to validate data" and
"Invalid length for a Base-64 char array" errors.
The production environment is two Windows 2000 Advanced Servers in a web
farm. The <machinekey> web.config element has its validationKey (128 char
hex) and decryptionKey attributes set. They are identical on both web
servers.

What's the problem why is shmat passed a wrong id?
I temporarily need Postgres running on Windows98

Hello,
I have a db2load script I'm using to populate a large table.
Ideally, my target table is required to have "Not Null" constraints on
a number of different columns.
I've noticed a huge performance hit when I load the target table with
"Not Null" constraints as compared to loading a target table without
the constraints.

I have some code which is trying to determine where text will wrap in a
custom text box (which Inherits from Control). It determines the number of
characters which will fit in the first line, but then encounters an
exception when it calls MeasureCharacterRanges to see if the next character,
i.e. the one destined to become the first character of the second line, will
fit. The message says only "Invalid parameter" - it does not say which...
