Entire Row not Updating

1 New Member
When updating a column from a single row in a table from one server that is in replication with another server why doesn't the whole row update?

Example

Server 1
Table:CustomerI nfo
Columns:
ID, Customer, Address, Status

Data:
25, John Smith,1523 Jack Creek, 2

Server 2
Table:CustomerI nfo
Columns:
ID, Customer, Address, Status

Data:
25, John Smith,1523 Jack, 1

I need Server 2 to match Server 1 so i though if I just added a period to the end of the address in Server 1 it would also update the status from 1 to 2?

SQL for Server 1:
update CustomerInfo set address = address + '.' where id = 25

But all it is doing is updating the address correctly, but not update the status from 1 to 2. It used to update the entire row I'm wonder if there is a setting I changed somewhere that is preventing this from happening? I know I can update both fields at the same to, but I need to know why whole row is not being updated.

With this issue i am currently running Version SQL 8.00.2039 (SQL-DMF)

Thanks,
Jorge

Let's say I have an html form with 20 or 30 fields in it. The form submits the fields via POST to a php page which updates a table in a database with the $_POST vars. Which makes more sense? 1) simply UPDATING the values for all fields in the table, whether or not any particular field has actually changed 2) running a second SELECT statement and comparing the $_POST vars to the returned values, and only UPDATING those that have...

First, I am aware of both SwingUtilities.invokeLater(), and of using Thread to create a new thread.  These are part of the problem. I want to have something running in the background, while the GUI is updating.  I've done that before without a problem, however, now, I need to pass variables to the separate Thread or Runnable that I'm using.  I'm using something like this: //Other code setting things up and updating GUI //Variables...

does anyone experienced slowness when updating a dataset using AcceptChanges? when calling this code it takes many seconds to update the database SqlDataAdapter1.Update(DsStudentCourse1) DsStudentCourse1.AcceptChanges() i'm also wondering because w/ out AcceptChanges the data is still save into the database and it is now faster.

Our developers have experienced a problem with updating Web References in Visual Studio.NET 2003. Normally, when a web service class (.asmx) is created, updating the Web Reference will utilise the disco file to update the Corresponding proxy file and reflect the changes made to the web service. However, the results of doing this with out params is that the results seem

I'm having problem with using DAO recordset to append record into a table and subsequent code to update other tables in a transaction. The MDB is Access 2000 with the latest service pack of JET 4. The system is client/server, multiusers based. The MDBs are using record locking. Here is part of the code: Dim wkSpace As Workspace, db As Database Dim rstTrans As DAO.Recordset Set wkSpace = DBEngine.Workspaces(0)

Hello CSS group, I saw a beautiful effect that I would like to use either by CSS or using photoshop to create the image/effect (maybe even imagemagick) the site address is: http://victor.hasselblad.com/. the lead image here is a white photograph (jpeg) on a white background, with a shadow like effect around the entire image. In this case the shadow effect is part of the jpeg, and not

Hi, all: I read a table with 4500 rows and 12 columns using win32com.client. Reading and updating records are OK, but cost too much time.Especially making a dict as line(***). All follows done may take nearly 90s! Is there any good idea? Thanks. conn = win32com.client.Dispatch(r'ADODB.Connection') DSN='Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source='+DB_FILE_PATH+';Persist Security Info=False;'

I'm working a jewelry/rosary design web site at http://www.rosaryshop.com/rosariesAndKits2.php. As the user makes selections, it updates images of various parts, giving them a preview of the finished item. The preview resides within a div and is simply a series of <br>-separated images. Simple html. The system is working fine with FireFox and Safari, but some MSIE 6 and 7 users are reporting that only the first image is updating and the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
