I was able to figure out how to insert new data into my database. But for
some reason and a lot of reading I can't seem to figure out how to delete
any data.
My app is going to be used for tracking info on vehicles. My app is MDI
with 3 children. 1 is for selecting a car(already in the database) and input
info. Then you can add that car and info to the database. Another is used for
just adding or deleting a car to the database. The 3rd...

I want to be able to generate SQL statements that will go through a list of
data, effectively row by row, enquire on the database if this exists in the
selected table- If it exists, then the colums must be UPDATED, if not, they
must be INSERTED.
Logically then, I would like to SELECT * FROM <TABLE>
WHERE ....<Values entered here>, and then IF FOUND
UPDATE <TABLE> SET .... <Values entered here> ELSE
INSERT INTO <TABLE> VALUES <Values...

been ruminating on the question (mostly in a 390/v7 context) of
whether, and if so when, a row update becomes an insert/delete.
i assume that there is a threshold on the number of columns of
the table, or perhaps bytes, being updated where the engine just
decides, screw it, i'll just make a new one.
surfed this group and google, but couldn't find anything.
the context: we have some java folk who like to parametize/

I'm trying to create a delete query from tableA that has the same
records in the paste errors table. tableA has records that were
previously inputed. New data coming in has information of old data
from tableA where the values may have changed. Upon inputting the new
data into tableA, records with the same primary key (field: PO) are
put into the paste errors table since it will cause duplicates. I've
created a delete query having joins...

Hello,
I have created 3 functions to insert, update and delete an Access
database record. The Insert and the Delete code are working fine.
The update is not. I checked and my database has all the necessary
records in it when testing it. I get the error "No value given for one
or more required parameters." when I try to update the database.
Can you tell me what am I doing wrong?

Hello,
I think this will apply to alot of web applications:
users want the ability to delete a record in table x
this record is related to records in other tables
and those to others in other tables etc.
in other words we must use cascade delete to do

Hi,
I hope somebody could help me with this problem.
I would like to make a form to add and delete records from my ms access
database. I've found most of the codes from the internet and adjusted
some part of it. Anyhow, inserting records to the database seems to work
fine, but deleting the records is not working as I want to and I just
can't see what's causing the problem.

Hi,
I'm writing a program in Visual C# 2005 Professional Edition.
This program connects to a SQL Server 2005 database called
"Generations" (in which there is only one table, called
"Generations"), and it allows the user to add, edit and delete the
various records of the table.
"Generations" table has the following fields:
"IDPerson", NamePerson", "AgePerson" and "IDParent".
A record contains the information about a person (his name, his...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
