I am playing with the XMLHTTPRequest method to perform client/server
transactions. I have it set up right now so that when readyState is 4,
it takes the XML and processes it. This works great until there is alot
of data. In that case, the user will have to wait for the data to come
back which may take a minute or so.
I don't want the user to have to wait. Is it possible for javascript to
periodically (while still receiving more data)...

I have an ASP.Net web app that generates a Crystal Report in PDF format.
Since there is sensitive data within the reports, the pdfs need to be
streamed to the browser then deleted immediately. The report gets kick off
by a Java application redirecting the URL to the ASP.Net app on the IIS
Server with all report selection criteria appended to the querystring. The
Crystal Report is rendered in a new window.

Hi
I am using Office Web Components to generate a GIF image, which i want
to display in a picture box.
However i am having a problem when i attempt to load the image into
the picture box. Firstly i was saving the image using the Chartspace
Export and passing the path to the PictureBox load, however i think
that the image is not saved properly before the picturebox attempts to
load it.

would timeout and have to re-initiate the request...

We've have files we'd like to store in a SQL Server blob or text column and
make available online for our clients. Instead of linking to a document
sitting on a file server, we figure it'll be easier to manage the document
store this way.
Could someone point me to a tutorial or online docs on what classes .Net
provides for streaming bytes (I assume that's what I'll be doing) from a
database to a web browser and vice...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
