JPEGs into image column

218 Recognized Expert New Member
Hi
I've been trying to sort this one for a couple of months now, without getting a definitive solution!

I have a client spec which requires us to store JPG photos (thumbnails) within the record (ie, we will not store the link to the image stored on disk - yes, I know that would be easier ;-( ). Drag 'n drop onto the table is not acceptable to our client.

I need to be able to bring the JPG into the image column with code (T-SQL, VB, C, anything will do!), so that the user will be able to run batch inserts at the click of a button.

I have seen various bits of code around, which don't quite do the job. At the moment, we are displaying the JPGs on a form, using a bound control - maybe an unbound control would make the import process easier to handle?

Has anyone out there got any ideas/links?

All suggestions gratefully received <G>

I have a script that resizes images uses GD2. If the image is vertical (portrait) rather than horizontal (landscape), all I get is a black image. I think it is related to the camera they use (an old Kodak 2MP). What should I try? Thanks

I'm trying to write some classes for my collaborative whiteboard to transmit images over the network, using the javax.imageio API, but I'm running into an odd problem: my code words fine with PNGs, but not with JPEGs. As you can see below, I've attached a progress listener to the reader, which reports progress up to just under 95%, then nothing. The warning listener reports no warnings. The images are written by an ImageWriter in another...

Hello, I've been programming in ASP for a little while now and quite an advanced user, but I have come across an unusual problem in which I need assistance. I have built my own image upload, I have two versions of the binary to string conversion one fast, one slow because some servers use chillisoft and therefore the append function in not accessible for a disconnected recordset.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
