Analysis Manager -copying of databse roles?

37 New Member
Hi

We have two servers on Analysis Manger.

On Server 1 - we have created a cube and have allocated permissions/roles to 150+ accounts......q uite a tedious job (as each role is slightly diffferent to the other).

Server 1 is our test server.

Server 2 is the live server.

When I copy the cube over from server 1 to server 2, we were hoping that the database roles from server 1 would also map over to server 2.

This has not been the case.

Is there a way tyhat I can do this, without having to recreate the 150+ database roles on server 2........time is a factor that we dont have.....

Hopefully someone knows of a solution

Many thanks
Imran

Attempting to register (from a Win XP Pro machine) to my SQL Server 2000 machine (Win 2K Server), via Internet (http), error says "Errors occurred while connecting to 'mysqlserver'. Cannot open connection to Analysis server 'mysqlserver'. Network error 'mysqlserver' Do you still want to register this server?" Query Analyzer and Enterprise Manager connected right up the first time, and have worked AOK ever since.

Greetings, Although, this relates to Analysis Services administration, I thought I'd post it here in case someone with the administrative side of SQL Server who subscribes to this Group may also know Analysis Services and DSO as well. I have a need to run Analysis Services on a single Server instance, but obtaining its data from a SQL Server Cluster. I gather Analysis Services is not designed to work within a SQL Cluster. However, the

I have NO IDEA what objects I need, or how to set things up. Are there any good object-oriented books or website tutorials on ANALYSIS that you would recommend? I need something that will teach me to diagram and organize my thoughts. The program I want to write transfers certain files...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
