Help loading data from Excel to Analysis Services

I have a 40 MB database in excel format.
I need to use it in Analysis Services, I imported the data by DTS (Data
Transformation Services), everything is working I can see the database,
but I can't load it in the analysis services.
I have to construct a cube but I can't see the database in any way I
tried.

Thank you
I hope my message is quite clear
Hope to find somebody that can answer me in Italian, but English is good
as well.

You imported it into what? SQL?

Have you refreshed your data connection in analysis services? Right
click on the data source and select refresh.

Thank you

I need these data into SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services, but the only
software that can load an Excel file is Analysis Manager that have a
Data Tranformation Services as a tool in the menù bar.
I found my data in the Master Database in the server as a table
Have you refreshed your data connection in analysis services? Right
click on the data source and select refresh.

I have done it. The data should appear in the local database, is it
right ?
I'm thinking about create an Access file (.mdb) but no import utility is
included in Access so I have to copy and paste all my rows (44000).
Is there an easier way

Thank you Zach sorry for my not very technical English

Not really, no. The only data that is in your analysis services database
is cube data. What you have to do is create a new cube. When you create
the new cube it will provide you with a list of all the tables that it
sees via the data source connection you defined. You select the table
you want to use as the source of your cube data here.

I'm fairly new to XML. As I can see it, XML is a way to organize data like in a table in a RDB, or the RDB itself. I have used XML in application data, but did not design the actual XML. I have a background in both hardware and software. I want to create an application that will regenerate a resume from the XML Resume that I have. I would like some people to look over my XML Resume data and give me suggestions on the XML. This...

I have an application written in C# that creates a queue of items to process, connects via a TCP connection to a server on a Unix box, and then passes data files to the Unix box for processing (cluster) - normally this works fine. However, on the front end, another Unix system generates and transfers files to the DotNet application (Management system/controller) and recently I've witnessed the following: 1) Unix Box "A" generates data...

Hi, Problem statement: We have some amount of data stored in various excel sheets and we generate a few reports from these data. We are in the process of consolidating all data to reside in a single repository. Currently, it is semi-automated i.e. we are using MS Excel for data entry, consolidation and report generation (i.e. using formulas). We require a tool that will provide: a) A web-based interface for data entry (i.e. remote,

Hi all, I'm loading a datagridview from an Excel file using a dataadapter.fill() method. A few questions: 1) Is there any way to control the column datatypes? The columns are defined by the .fill method based on the excel file, and the data is read in during the .file method, so everything happens with this one command. If I try to define a column.datatype before calling .fill I get an error because the column doesn't exist yet, if I...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
